# Cancel appointments and record no-shows

> Choose the correct action when a guest cancels or does not arrive.

## Choose the correct action

| Situation | Action |
| - | - |
| The guest cancels, the salon changes plans, or the booking was a mistake | Cancel the appointment and record a reason. |
| The guest does not arrive | Mark as no-show. |
| A service is in progress | Resolve the service first; do not cancel the whole appointment while work is underway. |

## Cancel an appointment

**1. Open the appointment**

Open its details and choose **Cancel appointment**. Open the three-dot menu if needed.

**2. Choose a reason**

Select the appropriate reason: customer request, customer unavailable, salon schedule change, staff unavailable, duplicate booking, or created by mistake. If you choose **Other**, enter the reason.

**3. Confirm and check**

Check the appointment, then confirm cancellation. Check its **Cancelled** status. To keep it, close the dialog without confirming.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A no-show and a cancellation represent different situations. Choose the correct action so the history reflects what happened.

## If cancellation is blocked

Check whether any service is in progress. Resolve it in **Turns** according to what actually happened. Do not mark an unperformed service as completed just to bypass a warning.
